Asian Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of Jay D’s Louisiana Barbecue Sauce
  • 3 oz. pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons of dark brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons of low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons of sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon of mirin
  • 2 teaspoons of cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon of cold water

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients except cornstarch in a small saucepan and simmer for 15 minutes.
  2. Make a slurry with corn starch and cold water.
  3. Add slurry to sauce and bring back to a simmer.
  4. Allow to cool.
