featuring a Louisiana Barbecue Sauce, Louisiana Molasses Mustard, four barbecue dry rubs, Jay D’s Single Origin Coffee, and more. In the Fall of 2020, the LSU Press published Jay Ducote’s Louisiana Outdoor Cooking, a cookbook chronicling Jay’s time growing up hunting and fishing, learning how to cook tailgating for LSU Football, and his professional culinary journey to this point.
In May 2018, Jay launched his first restaurant concept, Gov’t Taco, inside a food fall in Baton Rouge. In 2020, Gov’t Taco transitioned to its first free-standing location. It has won “Best of 225”’s best tacos in Baton Rouge four years running.
